About

Noël Ashby first began designing for the fashion industry, and for over a decade has been creating surfaces for interior and product use.  Having received her bfa in painting/printmaking, Noël has an exploratory approach to art making.  She is known for her layered surfaces and a sophisticated color palette, as well as her unconventional use of materials.  Inspired by these materials themselves, weights of lines against form, and the interpretive and visual quality of words, Noël's designs are transitional in nature, and have been used in a broad range of products for the Contract, Residential, Hospitality and Retail markets.  Working with such clients as DesignTex, Donghia, Maharam, CB2, and Carnegie she has created for textiles, walls, glass, floor art, and 3D objects.
